Spotlight Page: Celebrating DJ and Will Thomas
Pastor Reginald Swift and the Mt. Pilgrim MBC family are overjoyed to present this month’s featured members on our “Spotlight Page”: Derrick Joseph (“DJ”) and William Elijah (“Will”) Thomas.
Born on January 21, 2015, to proud parents Will and Sade Thomas, DJ and Will are bright, active 6th-grade students at PS7 Elementary School. Beyond their shared love for football, these twin brothers share a far more profound milestone: their spiritual rebirth. Through their personal acceptance of Jesus Christ and subsequent baptism, DJ and Will have taken their first steps on a lifelong journey of faith.
This sacred milestone was celebrated alongside their loving parents and their deeply proud grandmother, Usher Sharon Brady. They are also blessed to carry forward the faith legacy of their late matriarch, Mother Helen Fleming, as her great-grandsons. Within the church, they are cherished as great-nephews to Deacon Earl & Sister Joyce Knight, Sister Patricia Porter, and Sister Andrea Williams; nephews to Sister Tamika Ratcliffe; and beloved cousins to many of the vibrant youth in our Mt. Pilgrim MBC family.
Under the spiritual leadership of Pastor Reginald Swift, the wisdom of their great-uncle Deacon Earl Knight, and the continuous prayers of our congregation, we rejoice in witnessing DJ and Will grow in grace, wisdom, and love for the Lord. Please join us in celebrating their journey and lifting them up in prayer as they continue to flourish in Christ!
